I just finished the book 'Love is a Verb' by Gary Chapman. I got the audio book for free from christianaudio.com a few months back. It was a cute book. Can't say I learned much from it,but I did enjoy listening to it.
The book was a compilation of peoples love stories. Some of the stories were about how a couple learned to love each other again after having such a horrible relationship and some were about people setting themselves aside to show love to impossible people and blossoming into a beautiful friendship by doing so.
All throughout the book there was one common theme among all of the stories... Love is not a feeling it is something you do! It is sacrificial actions to show someone that they matter to you. You cannot just say, " I love you" to someone and not back it up with actions. If you do that no one would ever believe you.
A lot of the stories about the married couples made me appreciate my relationship with my husband even more! I'm so glad that we are loving and understanding of one another! I am so blessed to have him in my life!
