Aim Air

This summer the family is going on a vision trip to Nairobi with Aim Air. It is a school requirement for Joe to go on a vision trip with a mission aviation organization for at least 10 days. It is a way for Joe and I to get an idea of what life would be like in the mission field. It is a really exciting opportunity for both of us. During this trip Joe will get his first try at flying! I will be able to experience what my role looks like as the wife of a missionary pilot. We had our interview with Letourneau's representative for Aim Air last week and I think it went really well. She told me that for a day I can join the media crew in Nairobi! I'm so excited about that because photography a passion of mine and I have decided to finish my degree in it!

Anyway I wanted to post their video so you all can see what Aim Air is all about and maybe start praying about the possibility of supporting us or just praying for us during our trip. Either way enjoy the video.....

Bible Reading Plan...

It is the new year which means it is the time for new resolutions, or goals. One of my goals this year is to read through the bible in a year. I have never actually done this before. I have started many times, but never actually finished. It is 2011 and I again have decided to read through the bible. This time I will be following one of the Navigators bible reading plans.

This is the one I chose.

They have a couple others if you want to check it out here. Bible Reading Plans

So I hope to get up every morning with my bible and a cup of coffee to enjoy some quiet time before the family wakes up. Though some days the baby decides to get up extra early and does not permit me to do this, in which case I will have to wait for his nap time. Friends if you are reading this blog please keep me accountable! :D

Fun with Modge Podge and Paint

My son's name is Ben. I found these letters at Hobby Lobby and was really excited
to decorate them for the nursery! I got the paper at Michael's.

I still have a little bit of sanding to do, but I was really eager to post the photos!

Let me know what you think of them.

Newbie

I follow quite a few blogs from some amazing women. Each time I sit down at my laptop with a cup of hot coffee I think to myself, "I should start my own blog"  The only problem is I could never figure out what to blog about. I finally decided to just start blogging about everything pertaining to my life as a mother, wife, and child of God and hope that over time I can make this more specific.

So any suggestions out there on how to get this thing started is more than welcome!
